Return
worldwide organization of over one and one - third million Lions Club members in over 200 countries. We serve our
community, and we serve proudly.
At the board meeting on July 14, we approved the list of standing committees, which will appear in the new directory. We also
introduced and approved a change in the Lions Creed, which had been written in the masculine gender. We decided that it was
about time to recognize the highly motivated, strong and dedicated women we are lucky to have in our club, and change the
creed to be gender neutral. The new words are:
Fenwick Island Lions Club Creed…
Those who achieve success live well, laugh often and love much.
They gain the respect of adults and the love of little children.
They fill their niche and accomplish their tasks.
They leave the world better than they found it, whether by an improved
poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul.
They never lack appreciation for earth's beauty or fail to express it.
They always see the best in others and give the best they have, their life is
an inspiration, and their memory is a benediction.
They are Lions.
We heed the Creed!
Remember, all Lions are welcome to attend our August 9th board meeting at Fenwick Island town hall at 4 pm. And, I
encourage you to help out as much as you can with the all the activities scheduled for the week of August 9th through the
14th… We need your assistance, if we are to fulfill all these obligations.
Thank you in advance,
“You have every right to be proud as a Lion”
